A few months ago Fumi Vapor contacted me about their new Gang Mod. At first I was pretty hesitant. As you can see, the Gang Mod is in the shape of brass knuckles and that’s just really not the image I would like to promote.
The Gang Mod is really well made and has a very solid feel to it. There is a lot of detail that went into this mod.
There are beautiful spider engravings on the knuckle pieces. The package you will receive also includes 3 very artistic looking battery covers. This was a really cool idea and I wonder why other manufactures do not include interchangeable covers.
One thing that you need to keep in mind is that this mod is shaped like brass knuckles. This means that this mod might be illegal in your state. Check www.gangmod.com to see if your state is illegible for delivery of this mod.

Issues with Mod
The first issue being the spring loaded 510 connector. Even though it is spring loaded, absolutely none of my atomizers were able to sit flush with this mod.
Now this is not a big issue for me because I am not very picky about that. However, I know that there are a lot of vapers out there that cannot stand seeing a gap between the mod and atomizer.
The next issue unfortunately IS a big issue for me, and that is the delayed fire.
When pressing the fire switch, there is about a 1 second delay before that atomizer starts to heat up. This problem is very annoying to me and I assume this would bother many of you out there as well.
I am not sure why Fumi Vapors decided to use a Kamry chip for this mod. They should have gone with a tried and true chip like the YiHi SX chips.
I admit that the display does look really cool, but there is just too much useless information and options that I would never use.
I am very grateful that Fumi Vapors sent this mod out to me and this will stay in my vape collections for a very long time. However, I do consider this to be a novelty mod. To be completely honest, the Gang Mod will go up on my shelf and I will probably never use it again.
With all the issues and the price, I cannot recommend this device unless you are completely in love with the brass knuckle design.
Until next time…
